Trip to Nashville/Gatlinburg - June 2012

Dee, Karen and I took Mom to see her favorite piano player, Beegie Adair, in Nashville.  Beegie plays jazz mostly but she has CDs of popular music as well, I've seen her CDs in Hallmark stores and gift shops.  We arrived waaay early so we could get a good seat... little did we know it was only a tiny little bar in some fancy restaurant so we got to sit right next to the piano.

Mom got to meet her and get her favorite CD autographed.

Karen thought this picture of Beegie was hilarious, she kept zooming in on her face on her iPhone and laughing her ass off.  Naughty girl. :-)  Hmmmm, let's see if we can find a photo of Karen that maybe she's not so proud of either... how bout this one? :-)

This couple was very nice.  He's a professional musician, trumpet I think?  He's played with Olivia Newton John,
Sammy Davis Jr. and others.  He asked Mom to dance, which she was itching to do. :-)

These folks, Lou and Carole, were also very nice.  Karen thinks Lou looks like Ned Flanders on The Simpsons. :-)  Carole is an artist from New Zealand.  She fancies herself to be a awesome singer and was just DYING to get up and sing while Beegie was playing.  We got a copy of her homemade CD but none of us could really stomach the little bit that we heard... turns out that thinking you're awesome doesn't necessarily make it so. :-)
