This area pre-dates the Elizabethan period so it was like walking through a Shakespearean play. :-)

These two houses are so close together you can reach out of the window and touch
the one opposite you.

Paul and Chris amused at watching Kaz pick out her furry hat, seen below. :-)
That hat better not be made out of rabbits. :-)

Kaz had to explain to me again what a "butty"
is. It's a sandwich, I knew that much, but why is it a "butty"? It's
because the bread is buttered... very cute. :-)
I'm still amused by the
term "Chicken Burger" whether it's in England or Australia.

With the Christmas decorations up, it felt like a real life Charles Dickens' "A
Christmas Carol"

Me mailing a postcard in a pillar box.

Kaz has seen other cathedrals, but this was my first. It's absolutely massive.

We took a tour under the cathedral where you can see the original roman ruins
and the layers of building that occurred on top of them.
I thought I took
a picture of it, but I can't seem to find it. It's fairly hard to
comprehend the history you're surrounded by down there.
We hit the grocery store on our way out of York and Kaz was getting around in there looking like this. :-)

Lettuce... the girl ALWAYS has lettuce. :-)
